The Microbiome Support Institute publishes across two spaces — Commons and Continuum — each offering a distinct pathway for contribution.

We welcome submissions from researchers, practitioners, writers, artists and interdisciplinary thinkers working to deepen understanding and implications of the microbiome.

Commons

We welcome essays, conversations, reflections, community stories and art-science collaborations that explore how microbial thinking shows up in everyday life. This can be across culture, care, place, design, creativity and lived experience and more.

You don’t need to be a scientist to contribute. We’re interested in thoughtful perspectives that connect the invisible world of microbes to how we live, make and relate.

To submit, send a short pitch, a writing sample and any relevant links or portfolio.

CONTINUUM

We welcome submissions spanning original research, synthesis, methodological innovation and applied case study concerning the microbiome; the invisible ecologies of microbial life that underpin living systems at every scale.

To submit, please email a 300-word abstract outlining your research, approach and relevance. Selected authors will be invited to submit a full manuscript and supporting materials.
